• Does Earth 91 work offline?

  Yes. Offline maps, GPS track recording, place journals, and local backup work without a network connection once map packs are on the device. Optional map catalog downloads need coverage to fetch new packs.

• Do I need an account to use Earth 91?

  No. Core features do not require an account. Tracks, places, notes, and media stay on your device by default.

• Which Australian offline maps are available?

  Victoria ships inside the app. When you have coverage you can download other state packs including New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory. You can also import your own PMTiles archive.

• Can I export GPS tracks from Earth 91?

  Yes. Saved tracks can be exported as GPX or GeoJSON from the Data tab. You can also import tracks in those formats.

• Does Earth 91 upload my journal to the cloud?

  No in the current release. Journal and track data stay on-device unless you export or back up files yourself. Optional Firebase access is only for downloading public map catalog packs.

• Can Earth 91 record GPS with the screen locked?

  Yes on Android. After you start a recording, it can continue with the screen locked using a foreground service and a clear notification.

• Is Earth 91 a social travel diary like Polarsteps?

  No. Earth 91 is a private offline field journal tied to a map. It does not publish a public trip feed or social profile.

• What is the relationship between Earth 91 and Mercury 91?

  Earth 91 is a product operated by Alphesda Interactive under the Mercury 91 brand. This site is on the earth91.mercury91.com subdomain. The parent brand site is mercury91.com.

• Does Earth 91 provide turn-by-turn navigation?

  No. Earth 91 shows offline maps, records and replays your tracks, and supports place journals. It does not provide turn-by-turn routing.

• Where can I get Earth 91?

  Earth 91 is coming to Google Play as a paid Android app. There is no store listing URL at the time of writing.
